BioThanks for visiting! I'm Kristin Barrett, a SAGe Portland native who trained at the Portland Actors Conservatory and Loyola Marymount University in LA. My recent credits include Cruella DeVille in the Portland StarKid premiere of “Twisted,” Beth in the West Coast premiere of “This Random World” by Steven Dietz, and a lead in Oregon Independent Film Festival Best Comedy Winner "The Dead.” My favorite past roles include Chick in “Crimes of the Heart” and Amiga Gringa in “In the Blood” by Suzan-Lori Parks. You may also recognize me as Handela Manos, an alter ego that recently performed as Ash's disembodied hand in Evil Dead! the Musical. (Check out how "out of hand" things have gotten on my Facebook page. Icon above!). I've been privileged to work with Beth Henley (Pulitzer winning author of "Crimes of the Heart"), and tap dancing instructor Hiroshi Hamanashi (Riverdance). I enjoy Swing and Blues dancing, singing, and I'm an advanced Spanish speaker. I can't wait to work with you!
Recent RolesKristin was recently in Evil Dead: the Musical at the Funhouse Lounge as Handela Manos (Ash's hand). Evil Dead featured several gallons of blood a night, ponchos available for purchase at concessions, and spawned a handtastic internet alias with over 1400 followers. You can read more about Handela's adventures by clicking on the Facebook icon at the top of the page.
Kristin recently completed filming for an episodic horror series. You can get a sneak peek on the Press page. Keep an eye out for updates!
